The Amy Bambenek Summer Volleyball Camp staff is comprised of head and assistant college coaches, along with some of the top high school and club volleyball coaches in the region, current professional volleyball players and NCAA college athletes.

UNCW Head Coach Amy Bambenek returns to the Seahawk sideline for her 11th season with the Seahawks in 2019. During her tenure, Bambenek brought the Seahawks from the cellar of the Colonial Athletic Association to the NCAA tournament after guiding the Seahawks to their first-ever CAA tournament championship in 2015.


UNCW knocked off a Power-5 program for a fourth consecutive season as the Seahawks topped Virginia in 2018. The Seahawks also won the Hoya Invitational and the Jefferson Cup, finishing with a 6-0 mark in both tournaments.

Davis comes to the Seahawks after serving as a coach with the NC Coastal Volleyball Club in Wilmington. Prior to that Hava was the Associate Head Coach for Colonial Athletic Association rival Hofstra from 2014 to 2018.

While with the Pride, he helped the program to three 20-win seasons and a CAA title and NCAA appearance in 2014. Hannah Klemm was the CAA Setter of the Year in both 2014 and 2015 while Kelsie Willis was the league’s Player of the Year and an AVCA All-America selection. Fifteen Pride players earned All-CAA honors.  Davis’ club experience also includes tenures with Club Ace Long Island and Laguna Beach Volleyball Club.

Davis is a 2012 graduate of Concordia University in Irvine, Calif. Hava and his wife Franca Davis reside in Wilmington

David Fischer enters his fifth season with the Seahawk Volleyball program after being elevated to Associate Head Coach in 2017. Fischer works with both indoor and beach programs with an emphasis on the beach program.

The Beach program has continued to improve in each of its three seasons of existence. In 2018, the Seahawks finished 12-16 against a schedule heavy with top-10 opponents.

The pairing of Nicole Lott and Maddy Kline was selected to compete at the Bridgestone USA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championships in Hermosa Beach, Calif. Lott and Kline went 2-2 during the tournament.
