ARE ALL CAMPS HELD ON THE UNC WILMINGTON CAMPUS?

Yes, all of the training sessions are in the same gyms that our UNCW women’s volleyball and basketball programs use.  Both gyms are air conditioned. Beach Camps are located at Capt'n Bill's Backyard Grill at 4240 Market St.

 

WHAT DOES EACH CAMPER RECEIVE?

Each camp participant will receive a UNCW volleyball camp t-shirt. Beach campers receive a UNCW beach volleyball camp tank top. In addition, daily prizes are awarded throughout these camps.

 

IS A PHYSICAL EXAM REQUIRED TO ATTEND CAMP?

No, but you must download and complete the Medical Form and you will be required bring this form with you to camp. This form does NOT require a physician’s signature; rather, a parent/guardian must sign the form. Campers will not be allowed to participate without this form.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DAUGHTER IS INJURED OR SICK DURING CAMP?

There is around the clock medical supervision, which includes athletic trainers on call at all sites during the duration of camp. In addition, we have use of our Sports Medicine facility on campus for injury treatment if needed. Parents will be notified of any injury or sickness.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

Currently, we are not offering an Early Bird Discount.

WHEN IS THE REMAINING BALANCE DUE? 

All payments must be made in full, by credit card, online. Registrations will not be accepted without full payment.

DOES MY DAUGHTER NEED ANY MONEY AT CAMP?

We suggest $30 for your daughter. The camp store will have volleyball apparel for sale such as t-shirts, spandex, key chains, sweatshirts etc.

WHAT IS THE COACH-TO-CAMPER RATIO?

At our full day camp, we have one coach for every 8 campers. The Dottie Hampton Summer Volleyball Camp staff is comprised of head and assistant college coaches, along with some of the top high school and club volleyball coaches in the region, current professional volleyball players and NCAA college athletes.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR CAMP?

We prefer you register and pay online at www.seahawkvolleyballcamps.com

All major credit cards accepted. You will receive an email confirmation directing you to the forms page online. It is your responsibility to complete the medical form and bring it to camp.

WHAT SHOULD MY DAUGHTER BRING TO CAMP?

Volleyball equipment (volleyball shoes, knee pads, multiple t-shirts, spandex etc.) 

Suggested $30 for possible camp store purchases

A positive attitude!

Please do not bring additional personal equipment (stereos, TV’s etc.)

ARE PARENTS ALLOWED TO WATCH?

Parents are allowed only in the upper decks of Trask and Hanover Gymnasiums.  NO PARENT will be allowed to stand or watch from the gym floor during camp.

ARE THERE ANY REFUNDS?

Absolutely no refunds for cancellations after July 1st for Beginner, Position, Boys, High School All Skills and Elite Camps.

There is a $200 non-refundable admin fee for teams that cancel from Team Camp and $100 non-refundable admin fee for any individual player who cancels for Team Camp.
