Putting the Fun in Fundamentals
A few cues can go a long way in a young player's serving, passing, attacking, and setting. We'll teach the basics and give each player a chance to play with and learn from UNCW coaches and players on the official UNCW courts!
These 2-hour clinics held July 14, 17, 20, and 24th are for rising 5th-8th graders looking for individual skill development. No overnight accommodations are available for this camp. Each two-hour session will be developmentally progressive for maximum learning and corrective reinforcement. Each session will start with the fundamentals and progress into more advanced techniques with fun skill competitions.
Only 10 Spots Left!
SERVING & PASSING
This clinic is designed to help campers improve on the two most important skills in volleyball. Both skills will be taught in progression to make sure each camper performs the skills mechanically correct. The focus will only be on serving and passing, and the improvement will be substantial over the course of the week.
PASSING & SETTING
Campers will learn basic fundamentals to improve their first and second contact. This clinic will focus on forearm and overhead passing from serve receive, as well as defensive positions. Early and clear communication are key in developing success in passing and setting techniques.
SETTING & ATTACKING
Regardless of position, ALL players are encouraged to learn various setting tempos and learn the locations for in-system and out-of-system offenses. Combined with arm swing mechanics, footwork, and court movements, this clinic will help elevate your offensive game!
REVIEW & COMPETITION
In our final clinic, campers will review their fundamental skills before we put them all together for some competition. Campers will maximize learning opportunities and improve their all-around game in drills designed and led by the Seahawk volleyball staff & players.
